Seek ye first the kingdom of G  , and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Mat    6:33)

Dear Brothers and Sisters !

Dzien dobry !

"Zlota Polska Jesien" (in Polish) means that describes autumn of Poland is like color of gold.

Yes it is ! I’d  love to go out and just look at trees even in city, Lublin which has a lot of trees so if you want to see what autumn is like, you have to come and visit here J !

And this autumn starts with students too. This city has more than 100,000 students of 430,000 residences.  This days I could see just students walking around in town from 1 st of October.  When I see these young people, ?if there is a big worship for this young people, then it will be awesome?SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">

1. When I go out for gos preaching with other M.  Jolie Sock, we meet 10- 15 people a day, then I could see some of them have open hearted to listen what gospel is and even they pray to be saved. Last Wednesday we have met a girl who has very precious heart seeking Lord.  When I go out with Jolie, my language is not yet good enough to talk so Jolie does approaching people and  preaching and I do praying for Jolie ,  people and situation.

They say they go to church but they don’t  have conviction or they don’t know what salvation is and if they are saved or not. They are not confident of their faith. They go building of church and follow their tradition from grandparents.

They really have to see what is the way, the truth and life of righteousness.

They really have to know who is the mediator for them.

Pray for that when Jolie and I  go out for gos  preaching (usually on Wednesday or Saturday) then we could meet  people who would like to hear go   and be saved for His Kingdom.  And  I’d like to be bold to tell  the truth of gos  to people just following the H  S   .

2. For my family and family of my uncle. My mother called to me at Tuesday night saying that one of my uncle suddenly died on last Tuesday. I felt so bad and sad being far away from them. He was 50s years old and believed in G  . I don’t know what to say.

Please pray that May G   bless family of my uncle and give them comfort with His much love.

3. Please pray for my roommates, Gosia Jeczen and Ola Stoj. They both are very Catholics.

Ola Stoj is to be saved and be encouraged by Love of Je. Ch and not to be depressed many times.

Gosia Jeczen will go Rome, Italy on 14 th of  October for celebration of John Pope II. May G   lead her to open her heart and mind and worship only Je. Ch .

4. For my faithful and holy life, praying for Poles and learning Polish.

My tuition fee to be filled by supporters - so far I have 1,000 USD I need 475 USD more.

For getting a long term visa from good foundation, because I have to start to apply again in next year, January or February  after this student visa.

5. For my future ministry to be prepared as a good leader who can train leaders of Poles , who are willing to plant ch es.

Amen (so let it be).

Are You a Person of Prayer?

by Jim Clayton

"The sheep are never so safe from the wolf as when they are near the shepherd." - Charles Spurgeon

Fast Facts: Although 90% of Americans say they pray (60% say they pray every day), the ways they pray vary significantly, according to pollster George Barna. Two out of three unchurched Americans (63%) pray regularly, but only one out of three (34%) is sure that praying makes any difference. In contrast, nearly 70% of the "born-again" respondents think God personally responds to their prayers.

Among those who pray:

  • 95% express gratitude to God
  • 76% ask God to forgive particular sins
  • 61% make specific requests of God
  • 12% pray in tongues

- National & International Religion Report

How is your prayer life? If you are like most of us, it has seasons, and sometimes lacks consistency. I cannot think of anything more important than intimacy with our Heavenly Father. "It is good to be near God." (Psalm 73:28) Nearly fourteen hundred verses in the Bible talk about prayer. A rich and fulfilling prayer life is essential to our spiritual growth.

This is not a "how to" on prayer. These are simply some ideas that have benefitted me in my time with God. I encourage you to give them a try to see which ones work for you.

1. Find Your Ideal Time. Are you a morning person or a night person? When are you most alert? "Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray." (1 Peter 4:7) Identify your "optimal prayer time." How many times have you fallen asleep while praying? For me, morning works out best. It is a great way to start the day. I get up earlier now than I ever imagined, and I am not even a morning person! Make it a regular part of your schedule - and stick with it! "Be faithful in prayer." (Romans 12:12) Pencil it in your planner if you must. Why is it when we get busy our time with God is often the first thing to go? Make it a priority! Even a few minutes each day is better than none at all. It will hardly affect your schedule, and it's easy. I started with just a few minutes, and I now have a powerful extended prayer time every day. If you are not a consistent pray-er, here is an experiment: For thirty days, set aside a few minutes each day for a regular time with God. Give it a try and see what happens. It will make a difference!

2. Isolate Yourself Somewhere Private, Quiet and without Distractions. "But when you pray go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father." (Matthew 6:6) This will be your "refuge," your place of retreat. Stay out of the bed! This is not nap time. I have a desk set up specifically for this purpose, so I am always ready. I turn off the furnace or air conditioner, and close the door to get it really quiet. How else will you hear that "still, small voice?" Naturally, you can pray anywhere, such as in the car, at work or around the house. However, true "quiet time" is the key to a powerful, effective prayer life.

3. Be Quiet and Listen. "Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10) Contemplate His presence. Take a moment to realize that Almighty God, the Creator of the universe, is waiting to hear from you! "God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer." (Psalm 66:19) Anyone who knows me will tell you I like to talk, especially about God. So you can imagine what it is like when I talk to God. He patiently listens to my prayers, and waits for His chance to speak. Finally, as I wind down my prayer time, He gets ready to share some wisdom or guidance with me (which I just requested). Then I say "Amen," and I am done. "Jim," He says to Himself, "I have so much to share with you, if you would only listen." Let God speak to you. While you are praying, pause, be quiet and allow Him to respond. Many times you will not get an answer, but sometimes you will. You must learn to discern His voice. It may be a thought or a feeling, but you will sense His leading. "Listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God." (Exodus 15:26)

4. Talk with Your Best Friend. Be yourself. Remember you are relating to a real Person. Do not be formal or ritualistic. A friend once explained how she talks with God in a casual, friendly way, and encouraged me to try it. I had always prayed something like "Thanks Lord, forgive me Lord, I want this and I want that. Amen" It was quick, and always the same, except for my wish list at the end. Having a casual conversation with God was foreign to me. It was awkward at first, but it quickly became natural and rewarding. I just realize Jesus is there with me and talk to Him. This has had a tremendous impact on my spiritual growth. It has given me an incredible intimacy with God, and I am much more aware of His presence. He is your best friend. You can share anything with Him! Are you angry? Tell Him. If you do not feel close to Him, say so. Laugh, cry or scream if you need to; He is there for you.

5. Talk with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When you pray, to whom are you praying? Speak to all three members of the Trinity. Tell God you want to be His man or woman. Tell Jesus you want to be more like Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with God's power. Ask Him to open your spiritual eyes to see and your spiritual ears to hear what God is saying.

6. Pray with A.C.T.S. - A.C.T.S. is an easy way to remember key elements of prayer. My prayer time has improved dramatically since I started using it. It's simply prayer in four parts:

Adoration - "Praise be to God!" (Psalm 68:35) Tell God how much you appreciate Him. Express your love for Him. Praise His power and majesty. This is a great way to begin your prayer time. Sometimes I watch the sun rise, and praise God for the beauty of His creation. You should never run out of praise. "How awesome are your deeds!" (Psalm 66:3)

Confession - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) Tell Him where you have fallen short. Be specific. I thank Him for the forgiveness I have in Christ, and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations.

Thanksgiving - Always "glorify him with thanksgiving" (Psalm 69:30) You have plenty of reasons to be thankful. Thank God for His love, His faithfulness, His patience and a million other things. Express gratitude for what He's doing in your life. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for you. Thank the Holy Spirit for indwelling you, and never leaving. Thank Him for being your conscience, your counselor and that "still small voice."

Supplication - "Make your requests known to God." (Philippians 4:7) Tell God what you want, no matter how small it seems to you. Do you really think any of your requests are big to God the Creator? You should have lots of intercessory prayer here.

Ideas for a More Fulfilling Prayer Life

1. Have a "Mini Worship Time." Listen to praise music before you begin your quiet time. I love to do this while I drink my coffee. Sometimes, I sing along. (Fortunately no one can hear me.) Nearly every praise song we sing in church is available on CD or cassette at the Christian bookstores. My favorites include:

  • Fernando Ortega
  • The Vineyard Collections
  • The Hosanna Series
  • Integrity Worship Music

Try singing without music. I do this sometimes before or after praying, and it is very uplifting. "Sing to God, sing praise to His name." (Psalm 68:4)

2. Begin with a Bible Reading or Devotional. Even a short reading can help get your mind focused on God. I love to read the Psalms and the Gospels. (The Message, by Eugene H. Peterson is great for this.) I start with a devotional, and then spend time in God's Word. He often uses this time to speak to me. Many devotionals are available at Christian bookstores, such as My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers. My favorites comes by mail: Charles Stanley's In Touch (Free - 800 323-3747).

3. Use a Prayer Journal. A prayer journal is simply a list of people and things to pray for. It keeps you focused and consistent in your time with God. How many times have you forgotten to pray for someone? Once it is in the journal, you will not forget. (Tip: To get it into the journal, jot it down on a piece of paper or in your planner right away.) I use one from Chuck Swindoll's Insight for Living (800 772-8888). It is organized by weeks, so you have a daily/weekly list and an everyday list. It also has space for answered prayers, which is great because it shows what God is doing in your life. It helps you be a person of prayer. "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (James 5:16)

4. Get Out of the Rut. "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition." (Matthew 6:7 NASB) Occasionally, your prayer time may get stale. Change it! If you usually sit in a chair, get on your knees, or stand up. Ask God to restore you. Read something. Listen to some music. Sing something. Go to a different place. One morning, as I got ready to pray, I felt distant from God. I said "Lord, I do not feel very close to you today. I'm sorry." I decided to listen to some music instead. While listening to a song about "the Redeemer," God wrapped His arms around me, and I was on my knees in tears, overwhelmed by His presence. He said "Jim, I was here the whole time. My love for you does not change. You're the one who changes." I ended up having an awesome prayer time that morning! Step out in faith and be a Person of Prayer!

"But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray . . . " (Jude 1:20)

Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God
Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King

1. Jesus is Your Way
John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast given him."
Through a relationship with Jesus Christ, God shows His will and invites you to join Him where He is already at work.  He is always working around you, but most of the time, we are not able to realize this.  The key to knowing God's will is first to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, His Son.  When you obey God, God accomplishes through you something only He can do.
Do you want to experience life to the full?  John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
1 Corinthians 2:14 Spiritual matters can only be discerned by those with the indwelling Christ. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
You need a relationship with Jesus Christ
Romans 3:23 All have sinned
Romans 6:23 Eternal life is a free gift of God
Romans 5:8 Becuase of love, Jesus paid the penalty for your sins
Romans 10:9-10 Confess Jesus as Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead
Romans 10:13 Ask God to save you and He will.
John 14:26 The Holy Spirit of God will be your personal Teacher. He is the one who will guide you to apply these principals according to God's will.
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
John 7:17 "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able ot do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Jesus is your way.  Jesus is not interested in telling you the outcome. Just follow Him one day at a time. Jesus said, "I am the Way."  He did not say, " I will show you the way. "  He did not say,  "I will give you a road map."  He did not say, "I will tell you which direction to head."  He said. "I am the way." Jesus knows the way. He is your way.  When you get to the place where you trust Jesus to guide you one step at a time you experience a new freedom.

Abram walked by faith and not by sight. God is more likely to call you to follow one day at a time than He is to spell out the details before you begin to obey Him.
Matthew 6:33-34 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

God is absolutely trustworthy.  I will follow God one day at a time.  I will follow God even when He does not spell out the details. Jesus is my way.

#2 Jesus is my model.
Need to look at God's word as a guide.  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my feet.
What is God's will for my life?  Do not focus on your life. Focus on God.

Watch to see where God is working and join Him!
"Right now God is working all around you and in your life. One of the greatest tragedies among God's people is that, while they have a deep longing to experience God, they are experiencing God day after day but do not know how to recognize Him."

God is always working around me.

Anne Graham/ "Just give me Jesus" conference August 5-6, 2003
Mary was filled with hate, bitterness, lack of peace, lack of joy, and no reason to live.  She had tormentors, but when she met Jesus she was then filled with peace and reason to live.  But, after the death of Jesus, Mary is crying.  The Lord comes to Mary and asks why are you crying?  Why are you so empty on the inside.  She answers, "They have taken my Lord away" (He used to be in my life) not knowing that it was Jesus himself that she was talking to.

Let's take a look at the church.  It's all about entertainment, music, choir, prayer meetings, but where's Jesus?  It was Jesus at the tomb, but Mary didn't know it was Jesus.

Why are you crying? and who is it that you are looking for? I am looking for Jesus.

Jesus called Mary by her name.  He said to her not to touch him for he had not gone to heaven yet.  Jesus came to Mary before He went to heaven, he came to meet this one woman in order to comfort her and to show her that He was indeed alive.  Jesus told Mary the woman to tell the men that Jesus is alive.

Jesus has cleansed you and is resurrected.  Are you ready to meet God?  Did anybody tell them about God? The world needs people to tell them about Jesus.  Our responsiblity is to tell them about God.

Jill Briscoe: prayer
Prayer is the engine that drives your life or the spare tire that you carry around.

You need it for revival, healing, help, peace of mind

When you pray for each other, listen to each other and say, "amen" which means "I agree."  "Let it be"  Let's be aware of what the other person is praying for.

1.  We prayed the Lords Prayer
2.  4 parts:  Above.  Within.  Around.  Abroad
Above:  Always start with praise and thanksgiving-prayer should be a thinking thing, exercise our memory in the presence of God.  Are you a Mary or a Martha?  Come, and listen.  There is a listening part to prayer.  Listen to our own memories.  Listen and thank God for...Learn to kneel down by your bedside and to worship.  Be thankful that you are healthy enough to wake up, that there's food on the table; think through your day, Thank God for 3 things that have happened today: 1) 2) 3)
It's hard to be aware of God's presence when you are around a lot of people.  You don't have to go to church to pray, you can pray whereever you are, anyplace, anywhere, anytime.  B/c it is a conversation with God, a moment by moment relationship.
For example, Jacob had deceived his father, brother with the help of his mother, so he ran away to a lonely and dangerous place and had a dream with a ladder reaching up to heaven.  This ladder was a ladder of prayer.  Heaven is open."Surely God is in this place, and I knew it not."  Prayer is when we focus on Him.
Jill Briscoe's grandson went to his mother and whispered something.  She said no to him, and he went seemingly calm into the home.  But, later he came out with a backpack and said defiantly, "I'm leaving home."  He walked away from the home, but later came back to face his mom and said, "I'll give you another chance."  The mother said, "Look at me, I love you, now listen to me. "  The boy squirmed the whole time, but she kept on repeating that.
This is how God is speaking to us.  He wants us to sit our soul down, and to stop rushing around within us.
       Ask God for an idea.
      Always thank God.

Within: the second part of prayer.  We started with God by praising and thanking Him, now we will go inward and repent.  Need to use our minds when we pray, maybe you may want to see in Isaiah, and realize this place is holy.
Remember that sleep deprivation is better than God deprivation.
Remember in Acts 5: Ananias and Sapphira-sometimes it can be very hard to be truthful to God.  They lied about the price of the land.  Peter confronts them and says that they have lied to the Holy Spirit.  Do we say to God, "You have all of my heart, you have all of my money, you have all of my time."  You are lying to God.  That's why Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead.  Let's be open to God, and we should not pray lies.  Here am I send me or here am I send someone else.  Need to be honest.
Ask yourself-have I honored Him?  Have I ignored Him?  Have I betrayed Him?  Just say sorry.  "Create in me a clean heart, then will I teach transgressors your ways.

Around: Pray for your nation.  Daniel prayed for his nation.  We have sinned.  He included himself and prayed for his country and repented.  Forgive us-we have gotten so far away.  He prayed for people who were not praying for themselves.

Praying for our families: the mission field is between your 2 feet.  Pray for your children and family.  Bring them to the Lord and send them as missionaries.  Begin at home.  People who are at home who do not know the Lord.  Elijah when he prayed for the dead child on the bed and the child became alive, the widow came to faith.  Say to each other, "Give me your child/family so that I can pray for them." Pray for spiritual life.

Anne Graham
John 14:21-24 Jesus is speaking to his disciples and says that those who obey his comands love Him.  A boy overheard his mother that she wanted the living room painted.  She went out of the house to do some errands, and this boy, as a sign of love for his mother, painted the living room red, there was paint all over the walls, the carpet, the furniture, and everything.  He loved her but didn't know how to express that love the way she wanted to be loved.

Are you busy in church?  Are you offering him a red living room?

Read your bible.  Apply.  Obey.
1. What does it say?
2. What does it mean?
3. Now, What does it mean in my life?

1.  What does the verse say?  What are the facts.  Don't paraphrase the verse.  Note the who, what, where, why, when, how...objective facts.

2.  What does the passage mean? What is the spiritual principle that I can live by?  Is this verse a promise, a command to obey, a warning to heed?

3.  What does it mean in my life?  How can I challenge myself with the content of this verse in the form of a question?
********
We don't know what the future holds.  We live in a dangerous world.  But, Jesus is the future.  He holds the future in His hands.
During the 1st century church persecution, John in the book of Revelations is on the island of Patmos.  Actually, Revelations is not a book of the future, but of the past, of history b/c John says  "I saw (49x) Jesus Christ."
We know that the world is falling into the purpose of of God-at the foot of Jesus.
There is a special promise when you read the Bible.  Revelations1:3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophesy, and keep those thigs which are written therin: for the time is at hand.
Jesus is the most important man in the world.
He is the Lord who rules the details of my life.
He is the alpha.  He is all knowledge and wisdom.  Jesus knows everything.  You have always been on His mind.  Jesus is praying for you and lives in you.
Omega.  He is totally sufficient for your needs. and if He doesn't answer, just trust Him because He is completely sovereign.
John was at all of the events of Jesus life.  he was the evangelist to the world.  and he suffered.  Are you suffering?  What is your Patmos?  Are you cut off/isolated/alone and suffering?
Maybe God wants to give you a fresh vision of Jesus.  A greater revelation of Jesus.
John was in a sweet spirit/submitted to the will of God.
v12 Jesus is in the midst of the church.  He draws near to those who are suffering.
He is the priest who day and night lives to intercede for you.
He wants to use you in the midst of your suffering.
Word of God is the sword of the Spirit/read your bible to have victory
We have many enemies as children of God, so read your bible!
Fall at the feet of Jesus and be silent, don't give excuses, don't rationalize, no longer tell what we want, just be silent, don't wrestle with God. don't insist to go this way.  Gal 2:20 I've been crucified with Christ...Jesus wants everything that you have, be willing to lose it so that in the end you will find it...

Every single evening

As I'm lying here in bed

This tiny little prayer

Keeps running through my head.

God bless all my family

Wherever they may be,

Keep them warm and safe from harm

For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing

I wish that you could do.

Hope you don't mind me asking,

Bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's not normal

To bless a mother board,

But listen just a second

While I explain to you 'My Lord'.

You see, that little metal box

Holds more than odds & ends

Inside those small compartments

Rest so many of my FRIENDS.

I know so much about them

By the kindness that they give

And this little scrap of metal

Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them

Much the same as you

We share in what life brings us

And from that our friendship grew.

Please, take an extra minute

>From your duties up above

To bless those in my address book

That's filled with so much love!

Wherever else this prayer may reach

To each and every friend,

bless each e-mail Inbox

And the person who hits Send.

When you update your heavenly list

On your own CD-Rom

Remember each who've said this prayer

Sent up to God.Com.

Amen.
